Cubing design
A cubing is a functional model of a vehicle body that is manufactured at a 1:1 scale and uses nominal measurements for accuracy (tenths of a mm). It is made of aluminium with steel elements that are instrumental for repeatedly fixating developmental parts. The aim is to fine-tune the quality and method of assembly for the interior and exterior parts of the bodywork during the pre-production phase, to verify the dimensional accuracy and shortcomings in the assembly of the supplied parts and to maintain the level of required quality during the series production period.
We carry out the project design and after the detailed design is approved, we prepare CAD data for NC machining, perform development analysis and create the design documentation. Among our big customers we have Volkswagen Group and Czech car manufacturer Škoda Auto a.s., for which we have prepared the following car bodywork cubing models for the 15 years that our construction office has existed: SK FABIA I.II, OCTAVIA, I, II, YETI, SUPERB, ROOMSTER and KODIAQ.
For the Škoda - Karoq, we designed and manufactured a control interior mock-up for the purpose of a pre-series inspection of the interior, range, visibility and assembly.
